Chardham Yatra Itinerary

Char Dham Yatra from Delhi is one of the most popular pilgrimage routes for devotees visiting the holy shrines of Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri. Day 1 Start Haridwar to Barkot (8 hours / 200 kms)

  • Morning 8 AM pickup, then proceed to Barkot. Check-in at the hotel in Barkot. Evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2 Visit to Yamunotri (38 km drive / 6 km trek)

  • Early morning drive to Jankichatti with packed breakfast.
  • The 6 km trek to Yamunotri Dham will start from Jankichatti. One can take Pony/Palki service available at Jankichatti. The trek from Jankichatti to Yamunotri Temple offers a green forest path with a wide variety of flora and fauna.
  • After darshan at Yamunotri temple, return back to Jankichatti.
  • Drive back to Barkot and rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Barkot.

Day 3 Drive to Uttarkashi (5 hours / 110 km)

  • After breakfast in the morning, drive to Uttarkashi. Check in at the hotel in Uttarkashi.
  • On the route, visit the famous Kashi Vishwanath temple in Uttarkashi. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, Kashi Vishwanath is one of the oldest temples in North India, situated on the banks of the Bhagirathi river. The temple was built by Sage Parshuram and later renovated by the Maharani of Tehri State in 1857. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4 Visit to Gangotri (3/4 hours / 100 km )

  • Early in the morning with packed breakfast, drive to Gangotri Dham.
  • Enroute, witness the beauty of Harsil Valley, famous for its natural scenery and majestic views of Deodar trees and mountains.
  • Darshan and Pooja at Gangotri Dham, and take a dip in the holy river Ganga.
  • Return back to Uttarkashi. Overnight stay at Uttarkashi.

Day 5 Drive to Guptkashi / Sitapur (7/8 hours / 210 km)

  • After breakfast in the morning, drive to Guptkashi / Sitapur. The road route goes along the beautiful Mandakini River to reach Guptkashi.
  • Check in at the hotel in Guptkashi / Sitapur. In the evening, visit some of the most popular places of the town.
  • Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6 Visit to Kedarnath(30 km drive and 19 km trek)

  • Early morning drive to Sonprayag. Take a shared taxi from Sonprayag to Gaurikund, fare to be paid by pilgrims.
  • Start the 18 km trek to Kedarnath Dham. You can take a helicopter service to Kedarnath from Guptkashi, Phata, or Sirsi. At Gaurikund, you can also take a pony/palki to reach Kedarnath at your own cost.
  • After reaching Kedarnath, visit the Kedarnath temple during the evening aarti and pooja. Kedarnath is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas in India. Witness the positive vibes at Kedarnath during overnight stay in Kedarnath.

Day 7 Return to Guptkashi / Sitapur (30 km drive and 19 km trek)

  • After the morning pooja and darshan at Kedarnath Temple, return back to Gaurikund and Sonprayag.
  • You can visit the pilgrimage places in Sonprayag. Return back to Guptkashi for overnight stay.

Day 8 Guptkashi / Sitapur to Pipalkoti / Joshimath (7/8 hours / 210 km)

  • After breakfast in the morning, drive to Pipalkoti.
  • The day of your yatra will take you to Badrinath via Chopta. The tour will leave after breakfast. On your arrival at Badrinath, you will be treated with a traditional welcome followed by check-in at the hotel. Rest for the day.
  • Night stay in Pipalkoti Hotel with dinner.

Day 9Pipalkoti to Badrinath to Pipalkoti

  • After breakfast, drive to the Badrinath Temple for darshan.
  • Visit the main temple of Lord Vishnu at Badrinath. After darshan, proceed to Mana Village and Ganesh Gufa (on extra cost).
  • Drive back to Pipalkoti Hotel. Night stay in the hotel with dinner.

Day 10 Pipalkoti / Joshimath to Haridwar (8 to 10 hours 240 km)

  • Morning after breakfast, transfer to Haridwar, en-route visit Rishikesh.
  • Visit the five Prayags: Devprayag Sangam, Rudraprayag Sangam, Karanprayag Sangam, Nandaprayag Sangam, Vishnuprayag Sangam.
  • After that, drop at Haridwar railway or bus stand.
  • Tour ends.
